PENTATONIC LICKS OR SEQUENCES- Two Note per String.

I still haven't had much time to make any new stuff, so again here are some scans from my learning to play guitar file I made when I was a kid.

This time, here are some pentatonic licks, not as many as the three note per string PICKING LICKS/SEQUENCES I posted a while a go, but a few to keep you going I guess.

If you don't understand how to move these patterns around the neck using the PENTATONIC SCALE patterns, don't worry. There will be lessons on this for three note per string scales and two note per string scales coming soon.

STRING SKIPPING ARPEGGIO PATTERN.

I haven't had much time to post the last week or two, so here are some more scans from my 20 year old arch lever file of stuff I scribbled down when I was teaching myself guitar from books and magazines.

This time it's a bunch of string skipping arpeggio licks or sequences.

They are all written down, mapped out in E Major.

This is the only video I have of me using string skipping arpeggios live, it's the only ever live performance of a PISTOL KIXX tune called "Triple-X"

There's a cool STRING SKIPPING ARPEGGIOS section that leads into the improvised solo. We had only rehearsed this a couple of times before playing it as an unexpected encore, so the performance is equal parts exuberant and shocking, but skip through to about 2 minutes 20 and you'll get the fun bit!

About 10 seconds of ludicrous arpeggio madness.
